This page lists some of the Standards that we are aware of that may be used to record Compentency Definitions. Competency standards
The following standards have the machine readable description of competencies at their core.
ASN
RDF data model, value vocabularies and mappings used by the Achievement Standards Network, developed through NSF funding by JES&Co and the University of Washington with documentation available at https://asn.desire2learn.com/content/technical-documentation under D2L management. The schema is available for anyone to use under a Creative Commons Attribution License.
CTDL-ASN
The profile of ASN developed and maintained by Credential Engine expands the ASN schema and integrates with the Credential Transparency Description Language, available from https://credreg.net/ctdlasn/schema and handbook. The schema is available for anyone to use under a Creative Commons Attribution License.
CASE
Information model with JSON-LD binding for Competencies and Academic Standards Exchange, developed and owned by 1EdTech, available from https://www.imsglobal.org/activity/case/.
ESCO
SKOS/RDF-based data model used for the European Skills, Competences, Qualifications and Occupations multilingual classification scheme, maintained by Directorate General Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion (DG EMPL) of the European Commission, more information at https://esco.ec.europa.eu/en/about-esco/escopedia/escopedia/skills-pillar.
